Calling/Purpose/Passion • Resources
for Parents
We realize that no youth program can function without the support and time of the parents. Your time and energy makes programs, trips, and events run smoothly and your countless trips to the church with your youth are greatly appreciated. Thus, the least we could do is give you your own page that tells you a little more about what we believe. We encourage you to contact us for with any questions or ideas on how to make this experience better for the youth, which is, of course, the primary goal of any youth program.
The below statements clarify 'why' we do 'what' we
do...no matter what program we plan and put into action, or what
special event takes place, everything we do is connected to Our
Calling, Our Purpose, and Our Passion.
FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
YOUTH MINISTRY OF FAYETTEVILLE, NC
Our Calling
"To be a youth ministry consisting of spiritually
maturing Christians knowing, believing, praying, and living the
Word of God. We are called to share our lives with one another;
laughing, praying, worshiping, and serving our community and the
world in unconditional love to God...so that we and all those we
touch may know God personally and intimately through Jesus Christ,
by the power of the Holy Spirit all to the Glory of God."
Our Purpose
"
To Know Jesus and to Make Him Known"
Our Passion
To see our young people and students fall in love
with God through a personal encounter and relationship with Jesus
Christ.
To provide opportunities where are young people
experience God in tangible ways through fellowship, Bible Studies,
small groups, service and mission projects, and serving one another
in love.
